Regency Auto and Toyota Canada Deliver RAV4 to Vancouver Community College

Vancouver, BC | July 4, 2018 – On behalf of Toyota Canada, Regency Auto donated a 2016 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD vehicle to Vancouver Community College’s Automotive Service Technician program.

Brett Griffiths, Dean of Trades, Technology and Design at Vancouver Community College, stated that the students and staff are extremely happy to upgrade their training fleet with a newer generation vehicle.

“We would like to thank Regency Auto and Toyota Canada for their very generous donation of a RAV4,” said Griffiths. “This is going to go a long way in supporting our students with training around modern technology. I am a service technician myself, so I definitely understand the value of what this vehicle will bring.”

Izzam Ahamed, Managing Director of Regency Auto and Andrew Lee, Assistant General Manager of Regency Lexus, worked with Toyota Canada to orchestrate the donation.

“Vancouver Community College plays a significant role in our company,” said Ahamed. “Their Automotive Service Technician program helps train students to become industry-ready workers. We believe in investing in their education and providing them with advanced resources so they are prepared for the evolving automotive industry. We are very proud to be a part of this donation.”

Regency Auto delivered the RAV4, which boasts a 6-speed automatic transmission, 18” alloy wheels, and a low mileage of just 6,000 km. The vehicle was presented along with 3 hybrid transmissions and free access to publications, such as the Toyota Repair Manual.
