The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla arrives this fall in three versions

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla arrives on the market this fall with a starting price of $45,490. The new GR Corolla had enthusiasts very excited when it was introduced on the market earlier this year and now that we know more about the Toyota performance hatchback, all we can say is that Toyota did not disappoint.

The 2023 GR Corolla is built by the same division that gave us the Lexus LFA as well as the A80 Toyota Supra. It was also designed with the assistance of world rally championship pilots and the Toyota GAZOO Racing rally team. It features a brand-new all-wheel drive system which was designed with rally use in mind as well as a very powerful engine that also happens to be light in order to enhance handling and stability.

The heart of the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is a 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that delivers a remarkable 300 hp and 273 pound-feet of torque. As we mentioned when the GR Corolla was first introduced, this remarkable powertrain is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox that features a short throw and an optimized clutch to ensure the highest level of control across the power band.

Even more impressive is the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla’s GR-FOUR all-wheel drive system. This is a very impressive new AWD technology that provides the driver with multiple configurations to guarantee the highest level of performance in every situation and on every type of surface. Power can be split 60/40, 50/50, or 30/70 between the front and rear wheels.

As mentioned previously, the GR Corolla will start and $45,490 while the Circuit Edition will start at $53,990. The even more impressive MORIZO edition model starts at $59,990. The Circuit and MORIZO models are track focused, ultra-limited editions that have an even sportier design featuring a sculpted hood with air vents, a rear spoiler, unique seats, a carbon fibre roof, and distinct interior colours. The MORIZO model is named after the racing name of Akio Toyoda, the president of Toyota. This model is even more track focused than the other GR Corolla trims and it offers 295 pound-feet of torque. It has synthetic leather touches with red stitching inside. Other exclusive features include a lower weight thanks to the removal of the rear seats, and forged 18 inch wheels.
